Metz is a city in France’s northeastern Grand Est region, with gardens and leafy promenades along the Moselle and Seille rivers. In the old town, the Gothic Metz Cathedral is famed for its massive amount of stained glass windows, many by noted artists. Nearby, the Musée de la Cour d'Or displays artifacts from Roman to Renaissance times. The Centre Pompidou-Metz, with its undulating roof, exhibits contemporary
Many events are celebrated in Metz throughout the year. The city of Metz dedicates two weeks to the Mirabelle plum during the popular Mirabelle Festival held in August. During the festival, in addition to open markets selling fresh plums, mirabelle tarts and mirabelle liquor, there are live music, fireworks, parties, art exhibits, a parade with floral floats, a competition, the crowning of the Mirabelle Queen and a gala of celebration.
A literature festival is held in June. The Montgolfiades hot air balloon festival is organized in September. The second most popular Christmas Market in France is held in November and December.[149] Finally, a Saint Nicholas parade honors the patron saint of the Lorraine region in December.

Hello Costantino,
The wet stones shine quite nicely and you captured a pleasant view down the street, Two young persons are well included in the foreground where they fill the area perfectly. The colours and clarity of the photo are very good despite the dull weather.
Best regards,
Gert

Rain had washed the pedestrians road, gave special shine rto the old stones, Costantino.
Elegant architecture style, mid-European par-excellence.
Good evening,

Hi Costantino,
The street names are in German. I wonder whether it means this region has quite rich German past?
The rainy weather didn't stop you from exploring the area and recording an interesring reportage for us.
I have never been to this part of the Europe.

Hello dear Costantino.
A magnificent perspective of this street in Metz, which indeed has some nice houses to also capture details, as I like. The day with the wet ground and the people well dressed makes one think of a cold day.
Good coloring and sharpness, together with an optimal lighting.
Well done. I like it.
Have a nice day. Kind regards.
Luis.
P/D.I will explain a little about your question about the typical house. : Santana, is famous for its typical thatched roof houses, rectangular buildings that have the shape of an inverted V, where the roof generally touches the ground. Usually the houses have two floors, a ground floor and a loft, made of stone blocks joined with a rustic masonry work, with a ribbed roof.
These typical houses but from bygone times, were generally used by farmers, internally they had all the basics.

Hi Costantino,
Looking at the date when the photo was taken I see that you started to travel after lockdowns. Although November is not the best month to travel in Europe due to the weather but the photo is successful in these difficult conditions.
Good shot in long perspective of the street with people doing their dally tasks.
Best regards,
Zbigniew
