One can admire many half-timbered houses in the city of Troyes. This one, a bit quirky, was recently restored and its yellow color does not go unnoticed.
On peut admirer de nombreuses maisons à colombages dans la ville de Troyes. Celle-ci, un peu biscornue, a été récemment restaurée et sa couleur jaune ne passe pas inaperçue.

Quel charme , cette vieille maison aux murs penchés !
C'est étonnant que l'on ne fasse pas la chasse aux antennes extérieures dans ces quartiers historiques . Il n'y a peut être pas d'autres solutions ?

Salut JJ,j'avais pense' que cette composition se penchais un peu vers la droite,mais c'est l'architechure a donner cette impression et pas un erreur....ehhee...absolument magnifique cette vieielle maison si bien restuaree',les couleurs sont super,il semble de regarder un peinture! Bonjour Jean Jacques
C'est la maison du boulanger dont la façade principale est située rue Kléber mais aussi rue Célestin Philbois d'où tu l'as prise. La verticale et les angles droits n'étaient pas bien conus au Moyen Age! Je passe devant chaque fois que je vais de l'appartement de ma mère au centre ville. Tu as bien exploré toute la ville!

beautiful home though - and I want to go INSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We NEVER get to see photos taken from INSIDE these old timbered homes sigh....
one of these days i'll have to see these in person.
love the tight crop/compo, as the red is a fine secondary color to all that yellow.

This is a wonderfully captured shot of a unique piece of half-timber architecture.
Unique because we do not usually see the arched canopy in the front façade.
The house appears old and parts of the main timbre columns have just not been able to hold the floors straight and level.
Lovely composition with the whole structure visible with the smudges of paint on the walls and the row of newly done brackets along the top of the ground floor.

I have a few photographs of such half timbered double storied houses posted here, but that is from the southern part of Germany - the Limburg - Idstein region.

Wonderful warm vs cold colour contrasts between the yellow facade of the half-timbered house, and the blue sky, with excellent sharpness. Perspective has been well managed. The dark wooden slats provide a graphic element against the lighter toned bg. Tfs.

Des fenêtres bleues,le passage à ces teintes ocres donne de la chaleur à la visualisation des vignettes de ta galerie.Ici un carré bien composé avec un bel accord avec le bleu de ce ciel.
