In Vers-Pont-du-Gard, the pont du Gard on the river Gardon or Gard, Roman aqueduct dating from the middle of the first century AD. 2000 years.

Historic monument in 1840, and listed the patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco in December 1985.

Pont-du-Gard virtual visit.

Work that is part of an aqueduct to transport, for 50 km at a height difference of 12 m, the water of the Eure source, captured near Uzès, to Nîmes. It was built in 15 years.
With a length of 275 m and a height of 49 m, t is constructed of stone extracted from local quarries, carved blocks weighing up to 6 tons and assembled with precision, without mortar.

VERS-PONT-DU-GARD is a French municipality, located in the department of Gard in Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 1 696 Versois in 2009, distributed on 19.1 km², that is to say.6 hab./km².
