The window in the colored leaves in autumn, a shack near the vineyards of the village of Pégairolles de l'Escalette.

The village of Pégairolles-de-l'Escalette is located on the left bank of la LERGUE at the foot of the plateau causse du LARZAC. It is built on a medieval castle around the 12th century.

On the territory of the municipality we bring up goats as which the milk serves to make "pélardons", cheese in the raw and whole goat's milk with soft dough.
In side of hillsides leaned in the LARZAC, on small plots of land rocky picturesque often provided of capitelles, vines supply grapes converted into wine in red wines AOC,(PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN), of Pays d'Oc, and in table wine.

PÉGAIROLLES-DE-L'ESCALETTE is a french municipality, located in the department of the Hérault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 146 Pégairollais in 2006, distributed out of 32.1 km², that is to say 4.5 hab./km².

The municipality is close to the parc naturel régional des Grands Causses.
