Photographer's Note
The last days were quite cold and there were even frozen on mornings. But today the weather was sunny and the temperature was mild (about 20°C) in Nantes. This indian summer might be the last opportunity to have sun before rainy and fresh autumn wins ! Photo token a few hours ago along river Erdre in Nantes (exactly in a place called Gachet). You can see autumn colours are coming !
This photo is the first I took with my new Canon EF 50mm f/1,8 II lens. Because of its aperture and its focal, it will probably more useful for portraits rather than landscapes. I had read about the good image quality of the lens, and I can confirm now ! Moreover it is not expensive (about 100 euros), so it is a good deal !

hi olivier,
you are making me jealous with this picture and your description of the weather you are having. where i live it has rained heavily all weekend with strong gusting winds. not at all like this.
it appears to be a very tranquil scene. lovely warm tones and great light. a very nice memory of summer.
regards,
brian

Bonjour

Hello Olivier - What a lovely place to relax and you have captured the feeling of the Indian summer really well here. The leaves are beginning to turn but the sun can be enjoyed lying on the floating dock. Sharp as a pin and captured under lovely light. Best regards Rosemary
PS Enjoy your new lens!

Bonjour Olivier
