Photographer's Note
Corsica has a large area of wetlands, as well as in the mountains along the coast. They are transition zones between terrestrial and aquatic, difficult to define as always in motion.
They are now protected areas and are subject to regulation since 1992. This legislation includes lakes, pozzines, bogs, ponds, gaps, marshes and other temporary pools. In 2005, a new legal status specific to wetlands is voted. The preservation of these areas is the key word in this legislation. To do this, a new tax incentive as an overall strengthening of protection was provided under the legislation.
This photo was taken on the field of Marsh Del Sale (691 ha) on the town of Aleria. This domain is for the Conservatoire du Littoral and is managed by the General Council of Haute Corse. The pond is quite a huge reed bed wedged between a sandy beach and 3km from the earth.
On this site there is a wide diversity of habitats (17 of which 12 represented significantly) covering nearly 81% of the area known site.
The dunes are home field Casabianda beautiful stands of junipers bur (priority habitat), the most important of Corsica;
- Small marshes, more or less brackish Pinia are very rich flora, with amongst others a station Kosteletskia to five fruits (Kosteletzkia pentacarpos), and several rare species such as Bassia hirsute (Bassia hirsuta) and Cressa Corsican (Cressa cretica).
Faunal wealth: the pond is a haven Del Sale of interest in wealth and wintering birds. Reptiles, amphibians and mammals (bats) of European interest.

Salut Marie,
J'aime beaucoup la manière dont les nuages et les eucalyptus se reflètent dans l'eau, avec les roseaux au premier plan, cette image est un vrai régal pour les yeux ! En prime, une belle lumière hivernale. Bravo !
Bonne soirée,
Sylvain

Hi Marie,
I like your low point of view here and your framing is excellent creating a very good composition which is balanced nicely by the reflections in the water too. The image seems a little dark to me though and perhaps could benefit from a little more contrast too. I've done a workshop to show. Thanks for sharing.

James
