Container ship returning in the port of Le Havre accompanied by a "boat pilot" without which it will be not possible to arrive.
A pilot of the port goes up aboard container ship and takes the command to accost.
I imagin here a father and his son ;)

génial cette photo! J'avais pas vu le petit au début...Le rouge de la coque ressort vraiment super bien et l'éclairage générale donne l'impression que ce container surgit de la brume. J'aime beaucoup, bravo!

the technical side of it apart..(which is neat..the exposure perfect) think the idea of presenting the scale againt the smaller boat and the birds was very thoughtful..
honestly the composition didnt need anything more..this is just perfect...maybe the big one is a bit centred..but it like it anyway..what do you think.

Patrice, well seen the warm light on the ship and the pilot boat in the shadow makes a well realized image for your title. Detail and colors are awesome, great capture.

Contrairement à Philippe, je n'avais pas vu le bateau pilote bien minuscule à côté du porte-container, mais grâce au titre, je pensais bien en découvrir un !
C'est une image superbe, dans des conditions de lumière vraiment rares. Les couleurs éclatantes de la passerelle de commandement et des conteneurs métalliques viennent contraster avec la délicate brume à l'horizon pour un résultat tout en finesse.
Une qualité comme toujours admirable, bravo.

Quel contraste entre ces deux embarcations... Le ciel chargé est un fond ideal aux couleurs de l'ensemble.

Le poisson pilote et le pachyderme marin ... qui prend si bien la lumière qu'il la confisque. Mais les oiseaux dansent autour du poisson rouge minuscule comme pour l'encourager.

J'aime beaucoup les photographies de bateaux. Surtout de monstre pareil. Peut-être parce que je n'en voit jamais. Pas beaucoup de porte-container sur le lac de Neuchâtel ;-)
Le contraste avec le petit bateau est impressionnant.
