Photographer's Note
Yesterday, I tried some Panning* technique in Eze Village during the Paris-Nice event where the French Sylvain Chavanel won 3rd stage.
*Panning consist in taking a picture of a subject in movement, and having it sharp by following its trajectory (while clicking on the shutter). As the camera moves too, the background looks blurry.
Apart from the event, Eze has many things to offer to photographers. It's a medieval village on top of a "mountain", with narrow streets, castles, and a pleasant exotic garden at its top where persist some ruins of a fortress destroyed by Louis XIV army.
In the newspaper: http://www.letour.fr/2009/PNC/LIVE/us/800/journal_etape.html
"Revealed as the best young rider in the Race to the Sun in 2006, Luis Leon Sanchez won the 67th Paris-Nice on Sunday, proving he had come of age and reached a new stage in his career.
The 119-kms final stage around Nice, with its three classic climbs – Col de la Porte, La Turbie and Col d’Eze -, was as exciting as the race had been since the start in Amilly thanks to Alberto Contador, who launched a brave but unsuccessful attempt to salvage his pride after losing the yellow jersey to Sanchez the previous day.
The 2007 Paris-Nice and Tour de France attacked at the foot of the Col de la Porte and stayed in the front until the Col d’Eze. In the long descent towards Nice, he was joined by Antonio Colom, who won the final stage ahead of him, and Frank Schleck, whose Saxo Bank team-mates led the chase all day.
Winner of the first and 6th stage, Contador was the main animator of this edition but Sanchez amply deserved his victory with a one-minute lead over Schleck and 1:09 over Chavanel, who was unlucky to see his chain snap in the last descent."

Hola Prisley:
Saludos,
Jürgen

Hi Prisley,
I think you've done well with the panning here, it's been something I've wanted to try and I hope my first attempt comes out this well. You've really captured the essence of speed well and have done a pretty good job at keeping the bike in good focus. As liviu has said, it's a shame the motorbike is there, but other than that I think it's a good image.
Cheers
Simon

bonjour Prisley
le filé est superbement reussi. on peut regretter le bout de voiture mais l'expression de Chavanel excuse l'ensemble. excellent

Hi Prisley
you perfectly use the panning technique: the person is sharp and the background blurred. The only regret, the motobike lamp at the righ;, you can crop it up to the rear wheel of the bike in order to enhance your shot
Kind regards
CLODO
