Photographer's Note
On the ledge around the beach of St Palais sur Mer, the holm oaks almost form a screen ... however through the twisting branches one can admire some elegant seaside villas which have a breathtaking view of the sea horizon.
This view is taken from the opposite side of my precedent photo of this cove.

Hello Jean, yes an excellent choice, using the branches of the tree to provide a frame for the view.

Hello Jean,
I'm more intrigue to the twisting branches than the view through it - is it what you called holm oaks. Interesting and very unusual trunk with the white spots - like coating 'seasalt' on it from the sea. Beautiful shaping too.
No doubt, it's an elegant view and beautiful weather...for me definitely the holm oak steals the view in this shot.

It looks as though the tree was made to function as a dark frame for the view of the other side of the water with the coastline and the beautiful house over there. Very well spotted and captured with excellent sharpness, clarity and fine, natural colours.
