Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Erquy is a beautiful seaside town in Brittany with fine sandy beaches and clear water for bathing.

We parked at the western side, intending to walk into the town and see the harbour.

Between the two sandy beaches, we came upon this mass of volcanic rock, possibly basalt, which has been weathered and sculptured by sea and weather. It's jagged, black appearance was very impressive.

When we were there, the tide was coming in, and it was prudent to have vacated the rocks and ceased to investigate the contents of the clear, salt-water pools.

This was my first visit to Erquy, which I can highly recommend.

Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)
