Photographer's Note

The old stone bridge on the Rance river in Dnan, at night.

Dinan is a very old city in Côtes d'Armor, Britanny, not very far from Saint Malo. The city dates back to the 12th century and has been built on a hill dominating river Rance. The city is classified in the World Heritage, for its old walls, streets and houses. The old bridge is just outside the city.

The Rance is also know to be the location of the first (or one of the firts)power station using the waves' power. However, the experiment was not a real sucess, the construction of the power plant disturbing the normal flow of both sea ansd river and generating excessive deposits.

I spent an evening there prior to leave for La Corogna the next day (boarding a ship from Saint Malo, a bus passage was arranged by the town).

No tripod was used but the camera was set on a stone wall.
