Megève es un municipio de la Haute Savoie, en Francia, con una población 4.600 habitantes, a 600 Km de París, 180 km de Lyon y 70 km de Genève.
Megève es una famosa estación de esquí en los Alpes, que data de 1913.
Inició su desarrollo en 1920 cuando el Barón Maurice de Rothschild abrió su primer gran hotel en 1921, después de su desencanto con Saint Moritz como estación de esquí. Hacia 1950 Megève era una de las más famosas estaciones de esquí de Europa, y atraía muchas celebridades y famosos. Además del propio Megève, el área de esquí también incluye las estaciones de Combloux, Cote 2000, y Les Contamines.
Su cota más alta está a 2350 m. y la más baja a 1050 m., con un desnivel de 1300 m.
Tiene un área esquiable de 800 Ha. , de las cuales 425 disponen de innivación artificial.
Megève es también un famoso destino de vacaciones en verano.
Esta foto es la primera de dos que compartiré en T.E., y está tomada desde la zona de Mont Joux, a 1950 m., en un descanso durante una jornada de esquí. La disparé porque el panorama era encantador, y en ella se descubre toda la belleza del macizo del Mont Blanc por su vertiente de Bionnasay en Saint Gervais.

It initiated his development in 1920 when the Baron Maurice de Rothschild opened his first great hotel in 1921, after his disenchantment with Saint Moritz as ski resort. About 1950 Megève it was one of The Europa's most famous ski resorts, and was attracting many celebrities and famous. Besides the own Megève, the skiing area also includes the stations of Combloux, Cote 2000, and Les Contamines.
His higher level is to 2350 m. and the lowest to 1050 m., with a difference of 1300 m.

Megève is also a famous destiny of vacations in summer.
This photo is the first one of two that I will share in T.E., and it is taken from Mont Joux's zone, to 1950 m., in a rest during a day of skiing. I shot it because the panorama was charming, and in it there is discovered the whole beauty of the clump of the Mont Blanc by his Bionnasay's slope in Saint Gervais.
