Photographer's Note

- Morning lights -

Back to France. For a little while. Between two planes. Usual experience of the one who left.
Always the same pleasure. Rediscovering the lights and the colors of my street. The colors vary during the day as the light changes and the sun goes by.
For those of you who been there, the colors on the buildings remind me of Campeche, Yucatan where every single house is painted in a different bright colors. Piece of exotism.
The street is very quiet. People pass by. Mahmoud, the owner of the Egyptian cafe right down the blue building observes the crowd from the threshold. Jean, the woodworker appears from his shop.
An artist comes regularly to hang her new creations on the fences that delimit the latest reconstruction on the street. Graffitti artist (see post a year ago - My street) keep applying their art on the doors and walls. Some see these as a nuisance. For me it just add to the display of colors and art forms.

The pic was taken early in the morning. To get the best out of this shot I took two. One was focused on gettign the building colors right. The other one tried to get the sky and clouds.
Croping, layering and saturation.
