Photographer's Note
I used this 'day off' to have a look at the other side of the mountain that avoid me to see the other side, Belledonne group.
Initial picture did not suit me because it was extremelly saturated in blue tones. Therefore I suppress that effect by injecting some more yellow on the overall image by color balance tool.

Encore une journee bien optimisee pour profiter pleinement du soleil et de la vue sur 'l'autre cote' que je ne peux voir de chez moi. Donc montee rapide a Chamechaude pour lezarder apres au sommet.
L'image initiale etait extremement saturee en bleu, nottammment dans les ombres.
J'ai gomme cette dominante en la remplacant par du jaune, plus agreable du-moins pour mes yeux.
Je met en ligne l'image initiale pour comparer.
Dites moi si c'etait une bonne idee!

Well, I prefer the ws photo - but nevertheless, this is an inventive and most impressive photo. The impression of altitude, of wideness simply is great here. This must have been a very special moment! Thank you for sharing this!

Really a fantastic shot. A great capture.
It could be used as an advertisement for the Atomic label !!!
I prefere the color balance of this one.

Bonjour,
Oh lalala t'es allé planté tes skis là bas ???? J'en ai de désagréables fourmis dans les pieds rien qu'à regarder la photo...
Une photo très impressionnante, j'aime bien la mer de nuages qui laisse apparaître les cîmes :) Effectivement la dominante jaune rend bien même si à vrai dire la bleue ne me dérange pas tant ! Mais ça "réchauffe" un peu l'atmophère...

Hi Thierry, I differ from Frank, I like the final version, the blues give the picture an even cooler look. Great POV and management of the light which I know is difficult in such conditions. Thanks for posting this photo, from Lisa

Salut Thierry,
Une belle ambiance avec ces nuages. Ca donnerait presque envi de se mettre au 4/5 pour profiter des Mercredis (surtout que la meteo s annonce plutot moyenne pour ce WE).
L effet sepia light est assez agreable sur cette photo; plus que la dominante bleu de l originale. Je pense que c est a faire avec precaution car ca peut vite devenir outrancier ou artificiel. Mais ici, c est pile ce qu il fallait.

Hello Thierry.
Great shot, with sharpness and softness contrasting, and good choice of colour balance. The skis suggest the skier might have disappeared off the edge of this ledge! I love the way the distant mountain peaks stick out of the fluffy clouds. Really a marvellous picture, with good note of explanation. This scene reminds me of cooler times, now that it is 43 degrees here in Melbourne.
