Photographer's Note
Le célèbre Palais de l'Isle , appelé aussi "Vieilles Prisons" , dans la vieille ville d'Annecy , est un des monuments les plus photographiés de France .
J'ai profité de la présence ce jour là d'une exposition de peintres pour un offrir une vue un peu originale .

Hello Denis,
The painting adds a certain je ne sais quoi to this lovely composition. Excellent light management accompanied by very good colours and clarity. A view which has been photographed many times before but is always a delight to see and here has an unusual twist to it. A very successful image.

Beaucoup de choses à admirer dans cette composition. Cette peinture est intéressante et l'arrière plan est vraiment magnifique. Pas surprenant que cela soit autant photographié.
Même le cygne fait parfaitement son travail.

Two very nice objects, the painting in foreground with a view of the old car but of course the castle in centre of the picture is beautiful..
Technical wonderful, also a nice presentation with pleasant colours.
Perspective and depth make your picture attractive.
Composition and sharpness are wonderful.

Hello Denis,
The original painting gave you an unusual and fine foreground for the very pretty view. The flowerpots and the swan add beautiful details. I understand that it would have been difficult to remove the paper in the corner that slightly disturbs that area.

Bonjour Denis,
Bien vu le cadrage avec le tableau au premier plan, je note toutefois comme ta vue précédente un léger manque de contraste, mais cela dépend peut-être du moniteur que l'on utilise. En tout cas c'est une belle image toujours bien cadrée comme d'habitude.

This is a fine shot, I especially like the inclusion of the painting in the foreground. The painting adds depth and foreground interest for the scene. The angle of the shot is great giving the main subject a sense of depth and direction. The lighting is fine with good management of sun and shadow.

Un grand classique d'Annecy effectivement ! Mais l'inclusion du tableau au premier plan apporte une touche originale à l'image. Ca aurait été encore mieux si le tableau avait représenté la vue sur le palais plutôt que cette voiture qui n'a pas grand chose à voir avec le sujet.

Bonjour Denis,
beautiful palace on the isle. It is so picturesque, and you have presented it in a quite creative way with the interesting foreground. From the miniature I thought the painting will be actually showing the same spot as we see above it so I was suprised to see the car in it. I wonder now: people living in this beautiful town have so much beauty surronding them that they have to buy some strange paintings to balance it out :)
Nevertheless this is a great idea for the composition, I have to explore it next time I get a chance.
Wonderful weather and resulting colors, it is so pretty!!!
