Hello Jean,
This is a beautiful, winter's scene!
The silvery snow covering adds a sense of romance.
The f/g is nice and sharp against a b/g of sheer, snow covered slopes.
I like how you have used the diagonal slope, edged with buildings, to create a fine sense of depth, in your composition.

A nice photo of the small village looking quite idyllic on the mountainside. The background mountains are magnificent. I wonder if the villagers ever take their time to think of the fantastic view they see every day.

Bonjour Jean,
fantastic composition. The light was not easy with the whole scene in the shadow, but the contrast level is so good the it feels very much alive, very realistic and eye catching. The village buildings are so nicely squeezed between the sow covered foreground and the high mountains at the back.

Une ambiance montagnarde authentique: quand on repense a ces journées là, on est plus sure qu'il faisait soleil tellement il est pale et effacé: cela créé une lumière très présente mais sans brûlures: Rien n'est surjoué, les façades ne sont pas réchauffées, elles sont justes elles-mêmes sans filtre, bien net. J'aime la sincérité qui se dégage de cette photo. Bravo!

Good perspective, I like the composition picking up all those details in the snow with the trees as your focus, complemented by those houses on the slope backed by the mammoth mountain. So very well observed and captured with well exposed light ensuring the white stay white. Great shot
