Village of Roquebrun, lies in the valley of the coastal river Orb.

The village is dominated by a tower, vestige of a castle of Xe XIIe century, and the church Saint-André XIIe XVIIe XIXe centuries, built starting from the remainders of the old chapel of the castle of XIIe century. The houses border of the streets narrow, sloping and tortuous punctuated of small squares.
Roquebrun, in occitan Ròcabrun, is a French common, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 576 Roquebrunais, distributed on 40 km², that is to say 14 hab./km².
It is called "Nice of Herault" because of its microclimate. In a Mediterranean garden with the top of the village, but also in the streets, the mimosas, orange trees, lemon trees and arid plants of regions open out, benefitting from a slope well exposed and sheltered winds.

Merci de compléter ta série sur Roquebrun, qui a l'air d'être un endroit charmant.
Ta première photo prise d'en bas près de la rivière, nous permettait d'admirer les façades colorées, et celle-ci nous renseigne sur la situation du village, à flanc de collines, où on devine bien les rues étroites.
La lumière est superbe, réhaussant la couleur brune des toits et les mimosas en fleur illuminent la composition d'un air de printemps.
Très joli, bravo.

Salut Joël,
the village form that high POV including the landscape and also viewing down to the river is really beautiful. Looks like a place to refresh and that line of roofs in parallel to the heights just takes me with it. Good soft winter light.

Tres belle idee sur Roquebrun, Joel. Un panorama comme si je l'avais commande pour moi. Ou bien, je suis curieux de ce qu'il y a droite, et si tu avais utilise un objectif un peu plus large. Et si j'insiste, tu as pu baisser un peu pour nous montrer ce qu'il y a en bas encore, etant donne que rien ne se passe sur le ciel. C'est juste sur le plan d'information. En general, j'aime bien. J'aimerais boir un cafe a Roquebrun. Ta photo inspire et motive. Merci bien Joel, a bientot.

Nous connaissons presque tout sur ce village dont tu nous avais présenté l'église et là une belle vue d'ensemble avec ces maisons de pierre et ces maisons en escalier au cadrage serré

Superbe vue plongeante de ce village, ces toits colorés ces maisons du sud avec vuie sur le fleuve, ils sont bien progégés en cas de crue ceux qui habientent el haut du vaillage, et la toure tout à gauche, super cadrage,

Une autre vue tout aussi belle du village et toujours sous une belle lumiére, jolie aussi celle en WS 1 ou la présence de l'eau est plus visible, mais sans la tour, un choix....

Un pueblo muy bonito que has captado con un encuadre excelente dejándonos ver también su entorno. Me gustan las mimosas poniendo esa nota de color entre los verdes y los ocres.

Il est fort joli ce petit village au bord de sa riviere, le pdv est tres bon car il permet de placer le village sur la diagonale, la lumiere d'hiver met bien en valeur sans griller.

Mi piace come il paesino di Roquebrun si sviluppa dall'alto verso la riva del fiume.
Un aspetto della Provenza che non conoscevo.
