The small tourist train of Palavas and its characters who respect accurately the drawings of ALBERT DUBOUT, born in Marseille on May 15th, 1905 and deceased in Saint-Aunès in Herault on June 27th, 1976, draftsman, illustrator, poster artist, painter.
The train is surmounted the famous authoritative “gross woman” and the “small man”, her husband.
In Palavas, the Humorous Museum ALBERT DUBOUT is in the ballestras redoubt, old tower of alarm of second half of the 18th century.
PALAVAS-LES-FLOTS is a French commune of the department of Herault, Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 5421 Palavasiens in 1999, distributed on 2,4 km² is 2 278 hab./km².
Palavas-les-Flots is a seaside resort located at 12 km from the center of Montpellier, on the Gulf of Lion and Mediterranean. Its emerged territory is composed of dune cords separating two ponds and the sea. The principal agglomeration is with the outlet of the channel which connects the coastal river Lez to the sea. It is one of the principal seaside resorts attended by Montpelliérains and Héraultais of the back-country.

A good capture of this jolly little tourist train. I like the oblique perspective and soft colours. A good way of exploring the town and deciding where to come back and photograph.

Belle image très colorée de ce petit train qui rend hommage à un dessinateur. L'angle de vue est particulièrement bien choisi pour donner de la perspective et de la profondeur à l'image.

La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs du train touristique en hommage à Albert Dubout. La ligne diagonale de la rue est un atout à la composition. Le ciel nuageux donne un bon contraste au couleurs. Bonne journée.

Cute et amusant, le train touristique pour visiter la ville, bien qu'il semble que ce jour-là il n'y avait personne pour marcher dessus.

I am not familiar with the artist but from the very cute and stylised wagons it looks like his work would have had plenty of humour it it.

Bonsoir Joel, It is nice to be greeted by such a colorful scene. The train is a wonderous looking vehicle. Lots of creativity in the man who designed these characters. I am sure that it is a great attraction for the youngsters who see it. Very nicely done by the photographer too. Regards, Roger

Colors and presentation are nice for look at.

Salut Joel.
Une composition enchanteresse avec ce train sympathique et curieux, l'assurance qui fait les délices des enfants.
Son joli coloris et une décoration variée crée un bon contraste avec l'environnement et surtout avec le ciel gris. L'Est une perspective oblique donne une profondeur à l'image.

si vede che il progetto di questo strano mezzo non aveva per scopo la produzione di un semplice trenino dove i bambini si divertono, di solito. sembra più un oggetto uscito dalle rotaie di un cartoon e giunto fino a questa città, come una buffa astronave giocosa. I dettagli sono molto belli, l'omino che esce dal camino è letteralmente fantastico. In questa giornata nuvolosa e nella strada deserta diventa un oggetto quasi paradossale.
Grazie anche per questa foto che ci hai mostrato.
