Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God, built from 1990 to 1995.
Church of The Orthodox Monastery of Saint-Nicolas which belongs to the Greek-orthodox Metropol of France.
This monastery is installed in the Hamlet of Dalmerie since 1965, close to the sources of Orb.
Construction by Mr. George Axiotis, official architect of the church of Hellade, Greece, specialist in the Byzantine churches, in Greece, in Cyprus and the Middle East.
The church is built on a level known as octagonal. The cupola rests on eight arches. The lantern is a dodecagon resting on the octagone of the base.
Le Bousquet-d'Orb is a French commune, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 1483 Bousquetains, distributed on 12 km², that is to say 126 hab./km².

Une architecture qui pourrait détonante pour la région, mais que je trouve plutôt bien intégré. Un savant mélange de droite et de courbe pour un résultat que j'aime beaucoup.

tu nous fais un tour de religions, aprs le temple boudiste un monastère Orthodoxe, le cadrage est super, bien compact, avec le beau protail et les brahnches comme cadrage, superbe image.

Salut Joël,
looking at this I would think I am in Greece. Well chosen view over the gate to the entrance in the diagonal, the light is excellent supporting this view and shows the structure of the monastery. Well framed with the branches.

La qualité de l'image de tes photos est excellente et pure! Pas l'air d'avoir subi des PP, pantoute! 3D comme si on était sur place! La composition et le choix de l'heure pour avoir cet angle de lumière du soleil ont mis en valeur cette architecture si bien décrite sur ta note.

AS good example of contemporary church building in France. I see that architecture somewhat drifts toward Byzantine style.
Light and colors are very good, conveying the feeling of coming spring.
