It was one of the largest bridges of the time, which during 700 years was the only point of crossing of Orb on the way from Nimes in Toulouse.
COASTAL RIVER ORB.
The Orb is a French coastal river of 150 km. After having taken its source to 884 m, in the mounts of Escandorgue, with the Bouvial mount in Aveyron, it runs in the department of Herault to throw 15 km after Béziers, in the Mediterranean at the seaside resort of Valras-Beach.

Built in 1876, at the foot of the cathedral.
SAINT-NAZAIRE CATHEDRAL
The cathedral Saint-Nazaire de Béziers, of XIIIe XIVe XVIIIe centuries. Old diocese of Béziers, IVe century until 1790.
It is the largest monument of Gothic style of the town of Béziers.
The building is 50 meters long, the nave 14 meters broad. The transept has a width of 33 meters. The vault reached 24 m height.
Béziers, (in occitan, Besièrs), is a French common, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 71 600 Biterrois and Biterrois, distributed on 96 km², is 759 hab./km².
By its population, Béziers is the second city of the department of Herault and the fourth of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, after Montpellier, Nimes and Perpignan.
By its surface, Béziers is the first commune of the department of Herault.
It is the fatherland of Pierre-Paul Riquet, born between 1604 and 1609 and deceased in Toulouse on October 1, 1680, architect of the Channel of the South of 240 km, built of 1667 to 1682, to connect Toulouse to Sète.

Il n'y a pas de doute. La lumière hivernale par temps ensoleillé met en valeur les vieilles pierres. Bon cliché de ce joli pont surmonté de l'église.

Il parait que l'homme d'aujourd'hui ait oublié ce materiel, que jadis on utilisait partout.

Bonjour,
Je connais un peu Beziers pour avoir de la famille sur place. Ce cliché représente bien la ville par sa Cathedrale. Tu as bien cadré le pont qui nous offre une belle perspective.

Well done, Joel, the composition is classic with the castle and the bridge, you may want to crop off some of the sky to enhance the panoramic view because the strong horisontal of the bridge is what makes the image here...

A very fine composition, made with care. The angle of viewing this beautiful bridge is very good, and the arches parallel the arched relief shapes in the wall in front of the cathedral. The light is so well captured in this high quality shot. Nicely cropped also. Well done.

Salut Joël,
very different to the ones before with the dry part in front. The clear reflections in the previous one had a great effect. This is softer, less "advertising" but still in good quality and light.

Joel, I like this angle better than the one with the reflection, not because the other is not a good shot but because this one gives a feeling of power and dominance to the structure. Great capture.

il n'y a pas longtemps si je ne me trompe, tu nous avais présenté ce vieux pont avec les reflets de la cathédrale et là tu nous le présentes avec une vue plus large et toujours sous un soleil d'ou une luminosité parfaite avec une belle vue sur la ville haute
(en ce qui me concerne je préfèrai l'autre avec les réflections)
mais bon travail et cadrage

Ce point de vue, qui ne joue pas avec les réflections, est très original et nous offre une vue très différente du pont. J'aime beaucoup la perspective donnée avec cet angle.
La lumière est évidemment superbe et met le village parfaitement en valeur.

Bonjour Joel,
la version precedante avec les reflections raportera plus. Visuellement elle est plus attachante. Mais de ce point de vue, tu soulignes mieux la solidite du pont et on voit tres bien ce qui est deriere. Ce qui est deriere est aussi le theme a part.

Salut Joel,
A very picturesque view, that looks quite attractive with your clever compo and clarity. I can't (neither I want) decide which one I like better, this one of the WS#2. Maybe the POV of this one is nicer, more grandiose, but I think that the light control is much better in the WS#2. The WS#1 is a good complement and shows the long bridge very nicely.

Bien que je trouve ta composition intéressante je suis un tout petit peu déçu par rapport à ta précédente publication sur le même sujet car si la lumière est toujours aussi bien maitrisée le cadrage fait apparaître un peu trop de ciel et le POV écrase la perspective du pont.

An impressive POV chosen, Joel.
On right we see a bridge with arch reflection on the river surface, and the old town atop of the hill dominating an arial view from.
Good light and superb depth,the bridge engaged on picture space smartly to cover the hill on the other side. WS's aloso interesting to see.
