Photographer's Note

Another shot of the Ganesh festival in the north of Paris, an area also called "Little Jaffna" as I explained yesterday.

That man was in front of the march together with the young boy I posted few days ago. Among other things, that's him who gave the shell to the young boy. At first, he used it as a bucket to pour water in the hands of the Hindouists around him. That's only after, that the boy took it and blew inside to produce various sounds to go with the prays. That's also him who held the little golden bell some of you noticed.

Well, keep that in mind : each september in Paris, you need to book one Sunday to attend this great colorful ceremony !

Original framing, I tried few tones adjustment on the background character to make it less visible as he was in full light whereas the main character was in the shadows under a bridge. That's why I had to use a 200 ISO setting which led to some noise artefacts... Then, I applied contrast masking technics and USM.
