Photographer's Note

Strange title, strange place which deserves some explanations:
This monument of Paris known under the name of « 104 Aubervilliers » is the ancient main office of the municipal funeral service of the city of Paris. It worked until 1993. It is situated in the XIXth district near the Door of Aubervilliers,(Porte d’Aubervilliers) one of the poorest districts of Paris.
This space of 26 000m2 is at present in rehabilitation to make it a big arts, cultural centre in link with the local population
You will find all the information detailed on the site:
The site, still in works, was exceptionally opened this weekend to show in the Parisian a first sketch of the fact what will be this place.
In this called occasion: " The crossing of 104 " (La traversée du 104), artists staged the architecture around three axes:
- Games of shadows and lights by JF Touchard
- Tones by Vincent Epplay
- interactive full of life Picture by ideal Pierrick Sorin
Fantastic place an occasionto make some photos.
I was accompanied in this adventure by 2 BIG of TE, I voluntarily let smooth the suspense until they reveal themselves their doubtless very colored images!
The photo presents a sight of the central part of the building. A pond situated in the center allows the effects of reflections.
I scanned and integrated the logo of The 104 into the frame.
Meeting in the year 2008 for the true opening.
