A nouveau une photo prise dans le métro parisien, station "odéon", noir et blanc à mesure que je me découvre un intéret pour ce type de photo.
Le métro est un lieu de vie assez surprenant, étonnant, les extrèmes se cotoient, sur une même ligne comme la 13 on peut passer d'une très grande richesse (arrondissements du 7°, du 8°) pour terminer dans des quartiers un peu moins bien réputés tels st denis, clichy ... On dit aussi que le métro parisien est le plus grand hopital psychiatrique de France (c'est pas forcément faux ;) ).
Ici c'est une scène assez cocasse je trouve entre ce balayeur et cette grand poster a l'éfigie d'un grand magasin ultra chic : le bon marché.

Another picture taken in parisian subway, in BW as i'm discovering an interest for that kind of photogrpahy.
Parisian subway is quite hardcore, where extrems people meet (for instance on the 13th line, where rich people of 7° and 8°th district can meet those poorer who go to St Denis).
We say that parisian metro is "the biggest psychiatric hospital in France" ... this is not necessarly false ;)
Here it's a scene of a cleaner in action under a poster of the most select mall in Paris : le bon marché.

Bonjour,
Angle du vue très intéressant, qui donne une composition assez spectaculaire. L'opposition poster de la femme/balayeur crée quasi une mise en scène, que je trouve intéressante. Une photo qu'on peut passer un moment à regarder, en y laisser promener son regard. J'aime beaucoup.

On the little thumbnail, I was thinking about a fisheye experiment, hahaha. But I now see how you got that effect! The compo is just great. The position of the cleaner with the broom diagonally. Very nice. Haha, you might be right with your note ;-).

J'aime beaucoup, tout un résumé d'une certaine vie parisienne. Le métro en noir et blanc, c'est une très bonne idée. La composition est très réussie avec ce coin, laissé à la vraie vie en opposition à l'image de rêve. Continue !

Sebastien, I don't have any doubts that the parisienne Metro is Paris largest pychiatric ward! That is probably true for any metro of a major urban center anywhere in this world ... Now, seeing this exquisite image and your previous one I start question myself what your function is in this psychiatric place? Particularly this here is totally psychodelic. Were you on ecstasy? Just kidd'n! Your angle glueing on the billboard and having the beauty coming out of your lenses as a genius out of the bottle is great. I have the impression that you captured the cleaners dream world with this one (or yours?). Dam it that my city doesn't have a metro!

Another stunning image of the Underground. I am really amazed with the depth in the image considering you used such a shallow DOF. Exposure is spot on and you have a nice range of tones from deep black to white. By having the cleaner in the image was a good choice to show some perspective and daily life. I think this is much more powerful than no one in the image or a bunch of commuters. Well seen and executed.

Now this is how to use a wide angle! The juxtoposition of the fashion model and the cleaner is a good one, and a I like the wide angle in this too, because it makes the poster of the model look huge, like she is the oppressor keeping the underclass down. Great example of visual story telling!

Scène cocasse....je ne sais pas, mais photo originale, ça c'est sûr!Et c'est sur ce genre d'image, improbable pour la plupart d'entre nous, que l'on reconnait le talent du vrai photographe.

C'est certain que la 13 ainsi que la 04 sont pour moi les lignes les plus enthousiasmantes pour les raisons que tu as cité... J'aime celle-ci pour la place prise par la superbe sur l'affiche mais je regrette juste que le balayeur n'ait pas une "pose" plus subjective...

Cest superbe, il a une cote folie ici avec la deformation de la dame dans le poster, j'aime bien la facon dont tu as capture le noir balnc, tu as des settings particulaires? Car je n'arrive pas a farie un bone qualite des NB avec mon apareil.

Another brilliant framing! Of course I love the curve of the poster girl along the concave wall. But the real factor here is the broom stick filling up the only spare space along the diagonal. Excellent black and white.

Absolutely great : those curves and the distorted image, the B&W that keeps it real but also gives a sense of oddity to the pic, the position of the subjects and their relation, a multiple dichotomy and yet...this works well, they add together and give meaning to the picture.
