Photographer's Note
Visiting this quite charming garden I noticed this scene, source of inspiration of some of Monet´s works
Painter & Giverny
Claude Monet noticed the village of Giverny while looking out of a train window, first he rented the house which he bought in 1890 along with some land and set out to create the magnificent gardens he wanted to paint
Claude Monet didn’t t like organized gardens, he matched flowers according to their colors and left them to grow rather freely
In 1893, ten years after his arrival at Giverny, Monet bought the piece of land next to his property on the other side of the railway, crossed by a small stream, the Re, tributary of the Epte, a tributary of the Sene
Never before had a painter shaped his subjects in nature before painting them
Also, that way, he created his works twice
Museum House: Open daily from April 1st to November 1st
From 9.30 AM to 6.00 PM

Ciao Maria
bellissimo omaggio a Monet.

Hello Maria,
It is a very beautiful, secretive part of the garden, with boats and leaves that would certainly have inspired Monet, though his work would have been much less sharp than this.
I like how you have focussed into the b/g, leaving the natural border, in the f/g, to have a very Monetesk feel.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hi Maria
I like the way you have filled the frame with this lively incredible glow of green nature beauty and you have those distinctive canoes as centre of focus. Lovely detail which adds interest, as does the whole colour scheme in this - really get the feel of this peaceful place...
Well done shot, Congrats.
Best regards

Hello Maria,
Although in France, the bamboo trees add a tropical accent. It reminds me a little at the bamboo groves I've seen in Japan.
Excellently composed, perfect sharpness, good depth and an attractive view with the boats included.
Best regards, Paul

Hola Maria querida,
I'm sure that anyone looking at this scene thinks of brilliant Monet paintings. The background, especially, looks simple and moody but is so rich in green tones and details, it rewards and relaxes the viewer's eyes. You had a good idea to add the greenery in the foreground, creating a natural frame, effective contrast and balance. Congratulations and thank you!
Todo lo mejor y buenas tardes,
Ourania

Hello Maria
The nearly square format workd well here and I like how the surrounding vegeation acts as a mask and frame for the central boats. Good sharpness and the steely gery blue color of the boats contrasts well against the yellow green leaves of the plants to give a nice warm vs cold color contrast. Tfs.

Hello Maria,
This is a splendid rendition of the gardens of Giverny. Recently, Jean Saint Martin (jemaflor) posted a spectacular photo of the interior of Monet's house.
Warm regards,

Ave Maria
Le jardin de Monet a été ouvert au public au milieu des années 70
Vue intéressante sur les barques malgré l'éclairage dur
J'espère revenir là bas, le meilleur moment c'est début juin

Yes, this ideal scene would make for a great subject for painters. Nice see the inspiration of a great artist, one of my favorite. It may look chaotic but there is always order in an artist mind. Good lighting and good use of the dof. Well done, tfs.

Hello Maria,
This March, we were at the Botanical Gardens of the University of Puerto Rico, which created a pond for the use of their art students, inspired by Monet's pond. This must be the original one! Very nicely rendered, TFS!

Hello Maria
Much refinement seen in this superb picture worth of being framed in large size to soothe perturbed minds at the psychiatrist office!
Lovely natural frame around this piece of well being deprived of mosquitos!
Cheers.
