Photographer's Note

This is going to be an "escargot de Bourgogne" (Helix Pomatia). They are not special to Burgundy. The mild and wet climate of Normandy suits them very well. This one is a very young one. The shell is still soft and shows much more details than when solid. These snails generally hide close to the ground. He will not be eaten with garlic or other spices because normally it is forbidden to collect them. For photographers pleasure...
