Hello Jean Jacques,
This is an excellent composition with a perfect vertical shape. The spiral staircase is graphically very attractive and it is surrounded by walls painted in nicely matching discreet colours. The inclusion of a pigeon at the top and a woman at the bottom is perfect. They provide life of different kinds and somehow balance each other.

Il y a beaucoup de choses intéressantes à voir dans cette ville et cet escalier en colimaçon en fait partie, j'apprécie l'inclusion du pigeon et de la personne.

Hello Jean jacques,
Cet escalier monte ou descend , that is the question ! En tout cas c'est une belle trouvaille et son ombre en double l'effet sur le mur avec colombages apparents.
Au delà je trouve la présence dans le cadre de la femme aux sacs, tout à fait opportune voire amusante.
Un, deux, TROYES partez !..

Tiens, je ne connais pas!
Avec son ombre, on dirait une double spirale de notre ADN (de photographe sûrement!) et le pigeon contrebalance la touriste pressée de ranger ses emplettes

and why not, its quite the subject indeed.
so this is attached to one of those old timbered homes? I wonder how it looks in a wider angled photo?

very curious, i wonder also if its used everyday for the owners. great pic, especially in this lighting.

Love the shapes and balance in this well composed image this is just excellent, I'm realising how essential the helix shape is, in so many forms and contexts.to suit our current daily requirement. You've got the colour tones and exposure spot and always interesting to have people around to show us the size proportion. Lovely photo work so well executed Congrats

Nice capture taken with good pov and layout. There are many nice and interesting details here but my favorite is the pigeon sitting up there patiently.

Hello Jean Jacques, a staircase that is perhaps a little out of place in this town of half timbered houses, but for you, it made a fine subject for a shot.
What I particularly like are the shadows as they create new patterns on the side of the house.
