Photographer's Note
Mount Saint Michel seems out of a fairy tale book with its magical architecture and location, its no wonder why this place has attracted pilgrins for generations.
Despite the 589 pictures already posted of this place, I decided to contribute with one more as I did not found any with this same POV, color treatment and compo. Note that the focus was deliberated put on the sheeps on the foreground with a small f number to create a shallow Mont-Saint Michel, a sort of mirage-like-feeling...

Bonjour Flavia,

Nice triplet! ;-)
Nice composition too! I think that blurred mountain at the background is really good!
Bravo Flavia and thanks for sharing!

Hi Flavia.
Well,... this is a very interesting contribution but I think I would prefer black and white than sepia tone and maybe I'm confused but it looks to me a bit tilt. Of course, it could the line of the horizont and not the picture. But, most important, I could be wrong and that's not important... but the sepia tone doesn't work to me.
Once I've said that: I think it is very smart how you used the DOF and also your composition.
Well done.

Fine shot Flavia - the composition is excellent. And so lucky to find just three sheep - that magic number for us photographers. It also has a wonderfully nostalgic feel to it, almost as if it could have been taken 100 years ago. Good choice of DOF - the sheep are the stars here, the Mont the supporting cast.
Very well done, Roberto

Carlos

Bonjour Flavia

Well, with 589 pictures already posted of this place, you are very ambitious to post yet another, Flavia, but I guess the sheep saved you! The Mont itself is lovingly blurred and has to be content with a background role. Strange how the three sheep seem almost identical, like clones...but then again that impressive Mont draws my attention. Good picture!

Bien vu.
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hello Flavia,
A very creative POV to focus on the three sheeps with Mount Saint Michel as a BG. The composition is certainly very pleasing to view, the eyes are led immediately to the sheeps but won't leave without looking at that spectacular piece of architecture.

Hello Flavia,
I like your version of this very photographed place, nice that you chose to focus on the three sheep all in a row and leave the building out of focus, yet still recognizable. Works well in black and white and you have a balanced composition between the sheep and the cathedral.

Hello Flavia: so many divergent composition of this famous castle - I would have almost preferred a greater DOF, but you did fine here. regards, c
