Photographer's Note

The Royal Chapell was built in 1816 in the middle of the ruins of the fort-castle of Dreux by the duchess dowager of Orleans.
Her son king Louis-Philippe increases it and made of it the necropolis of the members of his family and her descendants.
The primitive Chapel was then supplemented by additions of neo-gothic style, and its many windows were furnished with sumptuous stained glasses unic in the world.
All were carried out from the manufacture of Sevres which, burning during a fire, carried with it its trade secrets.

I will publish a series of photographs of these stained glasses.
You can note that the vault underwent a subsidence; the building leans towards the left.
