Photographer's Note

From my daily walk on the riverside. Taken from a bridge. This is a small harbor for lake-ships in winter.

Was testing my camera. Used a circular polarizer.

As shot. Camera jpg in adobe RGB. Normal saturation, 0 EV, contrast med-hard, no tripod. Framed and sharpened to compensate web resolution. Original 4992x3284.

In the workspace you can see the same image changed to sRGB and white balance adjusted to correct the color of the polarizer. I looks different (brighter and more natural, but the colors are a bit too candy like).

I think that in future I do these corrections if I use the camera jpg to send similar images here in TE. Of course it would be nice if TE could keep the color space definition so that monitors and programs that can handle these could show the original colors.
