Photographer's Note
Tallinn (recent historical name: Reval) is the capital city and main seaport of Estonia. It is located on Estonia's north coast to the Baltic Sea, 80 kilometres south of Helsinki.
Historically, the city has been attacked, sacked, razed and pillaged on numerous occasions. Although extensively bombed by Soviet air forces during the latter stages of World War II, much of the medieval Old Town still retains its charm. The Tallinn Old Town became a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 1997.
At the end of the 15th century a new 159 m high Gothic spire was built for St. Olav's Church. Between 1549 and 1625 it was the tallest building in the world. After several fires and following rebuilding, its overall height is now 123 m.

Szia George , Jo napot , i like and agree with that idea . The panoramica is actually superb with a rich composition that draws interesting hues of that place , but i find an excess of saturation and contrast that even makes the sky look a bit silky . Likewise the picture is nice , drew my attention and also interesting note ! Szia

Tallinn is a really beautiful city, and the viewpoint over it here is excellent. The colours are really good too, the sunset has lit both the city & the sky above it in a very attractive way.

Hi George - great timing and view, though the sky could use a noise filter. I like the way the smokestack, that usually manges to spoil Talinn photos, including my own, is aligned with the roof of one of the round towers, giving the illusion that it is part of the medieval structure, and not some unfortunaetly placed industrial eyesore.
