Photographer's Note

This is not Amsterdam, but the bikes and the leisurely people by the canal did recall me the Netherlands. This is a very sunny day in May 2001 in Århus (or Aarhus), the largest city of Jutland (in Region Midtjylland), in Denmark. This shot is in the city centre and the people are there enjoying the sunshine. It was a surprising scene, as I was expecting a rainy (Steft's foto) or foggy Denmark that time of the year. Maybe I was lucky that weekend (this was a Saturday or Sunday).
Arhus is famous by its Den Gamle By, or Old Town, which is an open-air museum, like an old village, in a nice park. The tower behind is the Århus Domkirke.
About the quality, it's the best I can do from scanning a poor paper print.
My POV is seen at Anastassios Karamanlis' photo.
Århus é a maior cidade da península da Jutlândia, a parte continental da Dinamarca.
Århus er Danmarks næststørste by med 296.170 indbyggere (pr. 1. januar 2007) i kommunen. Hermed er byen lige præcist udenfor top 100 over de største byer i EU. Århus ligger i Østjylland ved Århus Bugt. (Fra Wikipedia, den frie encyklopædi).
