Photographer's Note
One of the most stunning places I have ever visited in my life, the Eqi Glacier on the western coast of Greenland (around 70km north of Illulisaat) is an immense ice-sheet which is very active in producing icebergs (both big and small). More than 60m in height above the water line, the sheer scale of this mass of ice is hard to comprehend, as is the thunderous noise it produces as shards of ice break off the glacial face.
The only post-processing of this photo was minimal cropping and scaling down.

Hello Chris,
I am relatively new at TE, but I have settled down to a routine: After I upload my daily allotment, I visit the galleries of my newly-acquired friends. After that, I go to "Uncritiqued Photos" to spend the rest of my daily allotment of smileys. I came across this photo among the uncritiqued photos.
What a magnificent sight, captured so skillfully! Thanks for sharing. I looked at some of your other photos and came upon beauty after beauty. Your gallery is an undiscovered gem!
Best wishes,
MT
