Photographer's Note
Probably my last post this year, as I will be travelling, is again from my beloved Prague.
The bridge is the famous Charles Bridge of Prague that was built in the 14th century by emperor Charles IV over the Vltava (Moldau) river. The boats in the bottom part of the picture can be rented during summer.
There are many interesting stories about this bridge, for example that they were adding eggs to make it more robust but because they needed loads of eggs they were bringing them from all over the country. In one of the villages (Velvary) they were concerned about quality of their roads as they didn't want to deliver broken eggs so they decided to boil them... :-)

Minulý týždeň som bol v Prahe, nebol ani sneh, ani dobré počasie, nepodarilo sa mi nafotiť pekné fotky...Ale vidím že tebe áno.

Hi Ondrej,
Having read your recent reply in the forum, I rushed back to your page to see your last photo, and there it is. I think this is your first B&W in TE therefore let me congratulate you for this. And this is not the only point for the congratulation, you made it very well friend!
Having seen lots of photos depicting Charles Bridge, this is a POV which i've never seen before. And the boats also are new to my eye, it is a very different feeling for alien eyes to Prague. Your composition presenting the vertical scene divided into three parts is quite effective and gives a great DOF. Especially the scenery behind the bridge and slightly blurred snowy hills increase this effect, causing the beholder think that this is a winter scene from a humble Central European village under snow rather than the picture of the gorgeous Prague. This is why your B&W choice suits it very well. B&W also emphasizes the light and shadow playing over the Vltava. I especially liked the reflection of the bridge.

I like the cold atmosphere in your picture.
Snow and other combination work well in B&W.
Just my curiousity; I feel that it would also be nice in color because almost everything would remain the same except some more color in the water. It might also nice.
