Photographer's Note
I visited the open-air museum of folk architecture (skansen) in Kourim today. Kourim is located about 40Km east of Prague and it is one of the oldest Czech towns. I hope I'll show you all its monuments some day, but today I had time for the skansen only.
Kourimsky skansen was established in 1972 to save valuable monuments of folk architecture threatened by modern urban development. Since then it collected about a dozen rural buildings transferred here from all over Bohemia. The buildings contain traditional furniture and furnishings, tools, decorations and clothing. A variety of folk events are presented here all the year.
I'll show you the nicest houses in the next couple of days.

Hi Marek,
I think open-air museums always offer very interesting photo-opportunities! This picture proofs that, I like the POV for this building and the well visible wooden textures of the walls. Well done!

I like the POV for an establishing shot - I would also like to see a close up detail of the timbers of the building - they look interesting :)

Bonjour Marek,
Philippe

Dobry Den Marek,
Excellent PoV and light on this view, the use of good wood quantities as building materials leads here to very nice warm colors on the house. I like too that the photo is very clear and sharp.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Serwus Marek !
Summer in the country :) Wonderful scene. I like the composition with the road in the forground and fragment of the field on the background. Lovely shadows on the road, excellent colours of this interesting house.

Hi Marek. The trees in the foreground balance out the shot. I like all of the different angles of lines on the museum. Nice inclusion of the road for some needed depth. Well done Marek!

Hi Marek,
I was really surprised to read your title !!
I know Skansen, but for me it's in Stockholm, not in Kourim :o) Does the word have a special signification in Czech ? Is Swedish it means "earthwork". So it fits perfectily to what it represents.
Skansen in Stockholm is the first worldwide open-air museum, opened 1890's if I remember correctly. And it's exactly the same idea as you said here. Traditional houses, buildings, activities and people taken from all over Sweden and brought here.
Ok, enough talking :o)
I really like the house you choose here, with all those lines and geometrical elements. Nicely framed with the trees around, it just needs to be a bit more red to fit in Stockholm's Skansen as a Swedish house, héhé :o)
Cheers,
Youssef.

Bonjour Marek,
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hi Marek,
Another beautiful photo from Skansen. Wonderful colors and PoV. This place looks very beautiful and tranquil. It must be relaxing to walk around. I like this type of museum very much. It is a totally different experience from a typical museum. This reminds me of Romania's best village museum at Sibiu (Hermannstad/Nagyszeben). I will post a picture or two in the future. Great composition.
