Photographer's Note

PLease ignore the state for this photo. I don't know the state, only that it was taken in the town of Cheb. This was a few years after the fall of communism and the entire country was busy renovating itself. But many old houses still had flaking plaster and laundry was still done by hand. The custom of placing pillows in the sun to air is common throughout Eastern Europe. It's one of the quaint scenes I enjoy in when travelling in that part of the world. In this image, the yellow sheet echoing the colour of the flaking yellow wall drew my eye, as well as the composition.
