Photographer's Note
This is my first attempt at a panorama that is of a quality I am not totally embarrassed to post. I am sure it could be better, though. I will welcome any comments and suggestions. Thanks. (If you feel like it, you can go see the larger version of the photo.)
It is a stitch of 6 pictures taken on Friday from the Bridge of the Legions, across the road from the National Theatre. Taking these pictures was a bit of a challenge, as the bridge is in motion from the traffic thundering by. So I had to shoot in between trams and heavy trucks and even then discarded quite a few of the shots.

Ah Dasha this is just magnificent. Your patience has really paid off here. And the "stitching" (a concept that is far beyond my capabilities) is very impressive. I'm not sure from the Photo Info how long your exposure was, but the effect is superb in terms of light, your beautiful sky and the silky water. The only constructive thing I can say is about the aperture. Personally I always find f6 does not give enough DOF in panorama shots. But I know that you had to shoot several frames, relatively quickly between traffic. so time would have been a premium. It looks pretty good to me here, but I think the bridge would be even sharper with say between an f/9 to f/11. Wonderful job, your photography is exceptional. TFS and have a great day, Lisa

Hello Dasha!
One of the best nightshots I have seen since quite a long time, really outstanding photo! The large version is a real delight! Ok, the city is beautiful, but with this capture you have made it look like the most beautiful city of the world! Excellent composition and framing, great job in stiching! Perfect timing for the blue hour, perfect light management, fantastic colours, excellent definition! Goes to my favourites, for sure!

Hi Dagmar,
congratulations, very well done.
Excellent exposition, although a bit earlier at the blue hour wold be easier -there would be a bit better equilibrium of the artificial light with the sky tone.
Still I see people usually tend to expose badly the castle and you did a great job: there are just few fragments underexposed.
The water surface is great as well.
I would probably cut a bit the left side of the shot because it does not contain anything significant, I would rather stick to the bridge and immediate surrounding of the castle, but that is personal preference.
Very good job!

Hello Dagmar
You have a winner here! one of your best!
love how the tree on the right has so mouch light shining onto it.
you deserve alot of credit, as like you said, the bridge deck is moving, and you had to be very patient.
the sky is also very attractive, and the light management - superb.
I can't say enough about this one
Congrats

Dobrý večer Dasha,
perfect panoramic composition of our, praguers, bestseller. But such panorama is never enough.
I know well that the bridge from which You shotted is shaking and quaking under heavy traffic, so much the more I highly regard sharpness. Also stitching is perfect. TSF and

Your idea is great, dear Dasha, and your best result is on the calm water, not only for the superb reflections. I like it so much, even if I don't make the pictures in the night. I propose you to visit JJCORDIER. In the same time he posts the similar motif, but also propose the large version, very attractive. You have the nice opportunity to do the same.
Warm regards, dear friend,

Hi Dasha
So it pays to perseverate, nice view of this famous skyline, well stitched. Some highlights are a little bit bright at places. What is important to keep in mind for a pano is to use a not too short focal length to limit distortion and to shoot all images with the same exposure memorizing it with the *

Hello Dasha,
This is a wonderful night shot and an excellent panorama and stitch, even more so to be your first panorama. The large version is a real joy to view and imagine walking along the river promenade there. Good light management. A beautiful city and a beautiful photo!

Hi Dagmar,
Don't be so modest, you should be very proud of your achievement!
Everybody who has tried panoramic photography knows about the difficulties to create constancy from one frame to the next and to blend them seamlessly.
The timing was well chosen to get the best from the sky and all the golden light, while doubling them in reflection.
So you want suggestions? Okay, two little comments... :-P) The detail from the bridge on the left, next to the frame, isn't necessary in your composition and breaks the nice horizontality of your shot. It would have been a nice idea to use a tree or another element from the other side of the river, but here, it comes out too bright, too present and instead of stopping the eyes to go out of the frame, it actually drag the attention away from the main interest.
The other point is about the flaring light on the right, creating an halo that damage the colour of the sky. Sometime, by using a cardboard or placing yourself between your camera and the light, you can avoid this flair. If it's a far away light source that is too powerful, than you have to change your angle or move away until it doesn't show anymore. The third option, if your point of view is the best possible and you don't want to loose this quality spot, than you have to correct it in your post-processing software, by trying to recuperate the natural colour of the sky and diminish this undesirable effect.
But you are not alone, it happens to me all the time... If I could, I would turned down the switch of parasite spotlights, just the time it takes to do my shots... :-P)
Cheers!
André
