Photographer's Note

Zadar - Croatia is a beautiful city situated in Dalmatia.

At each step, we find some interesting and intriguing story. Zadar is one of several historic towns of Dalmatia. Its history dates back to prehistoric times when, in the fourth century BC Illyrian settlement existed here. The settlement later came under Roman rule. The Romans called it Jardea. This was the beginning of Zadar. Developing very dynamically. Temples were built here, basilica, an amphitheater and aqueduct.

From curiosity to explore this wonderful city. Not immediately reveals its advantages. The old town is very scattered. Start your tour of the forum. This remnant of the buildings standing here before. There is a beautiful part of the aqueduct or Corinthian column capitals. Even in the nineteenth to serve as a whipping post.

In the forum there is a church sv. Donata. This picturesque church dates from the ninth century. Unfortunately, the building features many interesting historical Roman elements. Near the temple stands the bell tower. From the top of the tower offers a wonderful view of the city. Near the forum is a very interesting place "Five Well".
