Photographer's Note

Drasnice, a small, quiet, fishing village and seaside resort with 300 inhabitants, in the southeast of the region directly by the sea, 3 km southeast of the center city Podgora.

Impact on the appearance of the village and its surroundings have terraces, which was built centuries ago local people to grow plants. Today's summer resort creates a series of settlements between the cape Komoljaca and bay Klokun. The old village Drasnice the steep Biokovo mountain range is completely deserted because of the earthquake in 1962, which destroyed a large part of it. The population has been displaced to a new settlement on the coast of the picturesque bay of Sveti Kriz.

The village is a beautiful small beaches with typical fine gravel and coarse sand, which are characteristic of the Makarska Riviera. Part of the coast is protected by pine trees in front of the sun heat.
