Sights in town include the "Varosha" housing complex, which preserves the authentic sight of the houses and the streets from the end of ХVІІІ-th - the beginning of ХІХ-th century and the " Virgin Mary's Inauguration " church, dating back to 1844 - a monument having a national historical importance because of its phenomenal wall-paintings and the iconostasis.
There are also quite a few interesting sights just around the corner and Blagoevgrad is a good starting point for exploring them;

Hello Georgios,
It is always interesting to see how fairly ordinary buildings take on a mystical mood at night time. I very much like the perspective here with the wall and path leading the eyes straight towards the buildings. The exposure is very well managed and I like the difference in lighting contrasts between the warmer tones on the right and the harsher ones on the left.

Good night shot caught in the blue hour. The patterns on the floor tiles and the bridge make very powerful lead-in lines. Good colours blending in well.

Σε ζηλεύω για τα ταξίδια σου. Μου αρέσει η φωτογραφία σου κυρίως για τα ζωηρά κορεσμένα χρώματά της, την αίσθηση προοπτικής πουδίνει αλλά και το μεγάλο βάθος πεδίου. Πολύ ακλή επίσης και ηδιαχείρηση του φωτός.
