Photographer's Note
**Today you will see still my three pictures from important Monastery Rila's They are details from the mainly Temple of Virgin Mary, and the columns and the arches that they surround Appreciable it is you observe with attention all the details optically they cannot be described they are so much many. I apologize your.
*In the here WS1+2 you can see my other capture choices with details from this admirable Monastery.
--The church of the Nativity of the Virgin is the monastery’s main church and the core of the architectural ensemble. Its construction began in 1835. That was an event of paramount importance for the entire Bulgarian nation. The innovative daring and the flexibility with which tradition has been interpreted in the architectural design of its imposing church reveals the nature of art during the National Revival Period.
***can see also my previous choice of pictures from the same Monastery with more note: here
This church building is unique in the Balkans. It was built by the then widely known master builder Pavel from the village of Krimin who had worked on Mount Athos and from where he borrowed the original spatial design of the church. The compositional scheme includes medieval elements and baroque spatial principles, an approach which distinguishes Bulgarian church architecture and whose features are observed in the art of the epoch.
The wall paintings in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin were made by the most prominent Bulgarian painters at the time
The central iconostasis is the work of a group of woodcarvers who worked under the supervision of Atanas Teladour.
-In 1980 the International Federation of Travel Writers and Journalists (FIJEST) distinguished the Monastery with Golden Apple, the highest award for familiarization and cultural tourism. Ion 1983 the Rila Monastery was recorded on the List of World Cultural Heritage as a world cultural value.
A decree of the Council of Ministries of the Republic of Bulgaria reinstated the monastic status of the Rila Monastery in 1991, so today it is again the largest religious centre in the Bulgarian lands.

Hello Georgios,
I'm not familiar with this church building, but your pictures make me want to go and discover it. The combination of the three shots give a good impression of the place, but photographically the main picture is by far the better with excellent light and colours on the dome.

Hello Georgios,
I like the use of the arches to frame the church. The colours and detail benefit from a very pleasing light. I think I would be inclined to clone out the person at the far end of the row of arches; they an unnecessary distraction in my opinion.

Olá Georgios, superb presentation of this magnificent place with the 3 pictures. Any of them could have been the main post and the architecture is truly impressive. Wonderful framing here - you've got two in one, the church and the perpective of the arches. It works well since the colors of the church attracts the eye while in FG we apreciate the light on the pillars.

hi Georgios
Yes, this is a great way to frame the dome roof using the arch space, at the same time you make a good repetition of the arches not only in the FG but also on 2 other buildings here! Very nicely composed shot.

Well composed image with the dome of the church framed with the arch, and also the strong perspective and repetition looking along the arcade. I also appreciate the WSs, especially #2 where we can view the very old stone paving. Good work

Hello Georgios,
A huge number of arches (i've counted 23 of them) works well for the shot because of the different planes, not the perspective. I like also the idea to keep in the colonnade on the right together with the human figure as a counterpoint of this majestic monument. Well done, TFS

Hello Georgios,
Fantastic presentation of the Bulgarian architecture!
The most I like is the POV, from here you could compose well the arches of the cloister and the dome of the church. I also like the coloursful forest in the background!
TFS!
Best wishes,

Geia sou Giorgio.
Salut,
Jacques
