The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (in backgroud) is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria and it is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world, as well as one of Sofia's symbols and primary tourist attractions. The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia occupies an area of 3,170 square metres (34,100 sq ft) and can hold 10,000 people inside. It is the second-largest cathedral located on the Balkan Peninsula, after the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade

Hello Piotr,
A very good photo of this famous cathedral. I like how you have focused on the icons for sale in the street instead of taking the usual photo of just the building. They add colours and an insight into the Orthodox belief and rather fill my need of people. ;-)The dramatic clouds form a great background to the white and golden architecture.

Nice capture of this famous cathedral in Sofia, taken with good pov and layout. Good sharpness and light management, interesting notes.
Specially the display of the giftshops in foreground creates a perfect eyecatching effect.

The choice to add the paintings in the entrance to the cathedral complex, given a different perspective that otherwise I'd say we see yet another cathedral...
Good allocation of the pic. space, warm tones in contrast to tress and clouds.

Cześc Piotrze, Bardzo fajna wycieczka, duzo zobaczyłeś. Byłam w Sofii, trudno uwierzyc, chyba 60 lat temu i niewiele pamiętam. szkoda, że nie mam zadnych zdjęć. Ciekawa kompozycja, z tylu slynna cerkiew (te cerkwie Aleksandra Newskiego sa podobne , Sobór Aleksandra Newskiego na placu Saskim w Warszawie tez podobnie wygladał), a z przodu pamiątki.

this is a very smart and concise set up. I like how the scene wraps around and has a lot of depth. Interesting how ALL the items for sale are religious offerings :)
