Photographer's Note
I present to you three photos from a appreciable Church of region Barosha of Blagoevgrad's Vuvedenie Bogorodichno Church. See capture in
here WS1+2
-The old Blagoevgrad district of Varosha protects in its heart Vuvedenie Bogorodichno church. The sanctuary has been named a national monument of culture.
Bansko icon painting artists worked on the rich church decorations. Wood carvings feature deep tracery, especially noticeable in the decorations of the iconostasis.
The bell tower is unusually positioned on the side of the church. Vuvedenie Bogorodichno complex has been constructed to resemble the church of Rila Monastery.
A Gotse Delchev memorial and a monument of Ivan Pavlovich Orlinski (one of the soldiers connected to the first liberation of Blagoevgrad from Ottoman rule) can be seen in the church yard.
Father Petur is ready to discuss the history of the church with each curious visitor. Before the church was constructed, a small chapel existed there and was the home of a monk. The first Blagoevgrad school started functioning there. It turned into a spiritual and education center and most of the teachers were Rila Monastery monks.
The modernization of the Ottoman empire increased the needs of locals for spiritual enlightenment. In 1838, they sent a request to Ottoman authorities for the construction of a church.
Construction works began in 1840. Residents of Varosha district put all their effort in the process. Even women brought stones to the construction site. Work continued four years and the church welcomed worshipers for the first time in 1844. It was one of the most richly decorated sanctuaries in the region.
During the revival period, a school was built in the church yard. Teachers got unusually high payment but were subjected to strict scrutiny by the monks.
Ouspenie Bogorodichno church has been preserved in their original state. Blagoevgrad residents liven it up during holiday and Sunday masses.....from Bulgaria inside com.

Hello Georgios,
A very pleasing ensemble of architecture in this fine composition. I like the point of view; the diagonal placed paving stones take the eyes to the church, which is nicely balanced by the tower and the buildings behind. A very good light and excellent clarity brings out the detail to best advantage.

You have captured quite a unique and interesting architecture, Georgie! Nice soft colors and a good composition! The size of the structure is nicely depicted with the presence of people in the picture! Both WSs are excellent and they are worth posting separately! Thank you for sharing! ΦΙΛΙΚΑ Στέλλα

Hello Georgios
The details which come out in the shadows is quite excellent. The contrast in the black & white chequered design looks fine. People are good for scale. I liked the view in WS#1 as well. Nice details with the flowers in the FG. Good work!
