Damme and surroundings.

The Siphon, two bridges spanning the Schipdonk Canal and the Leopold Canal

Nice place for cycling and walking, as you can see in the picture, quiet and surrounded by nature.
Today more than 30 ° Centigrade, steel blue sky, but our ride was long the channel, under the trees in the shade, 30km ride.

Description:

The Siphon is a hamlet in the municipality of Damme on the place where the Damse Vaart is crossed by two parallel channels: the Schipdonkkanaal and the Leopold Canal. It is named after the hydraulic engineering work that functioned there until the First World War: the siphons.
