The scenery is beautiful with the trees lining the shores of the lake, but especially this is a photo with a fantastic light and colours and very attractively shaped clouds that are perfectly reflected in the water.

Good Morning John,

What a beautiful picture to greet TE on a Monday morning!
It is like a painting!
The aspect is lovely, with good leads and features to create an excellent sense of depth.
The light is amazing and so beautifully balanced between the setting sun and the light that it projects across the canal.
Then, there is this magnificent sky, given excellent prominence.

The individual aspects are interesting and each combines perfectly to make this a wonderful whole!!

Hi John,

I like the reflections, they are assets to the composition. The length of the lake is givng depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the reflections and of the sky. Well done, have a nice day.

Quelle belle photo. Le spectacle des dernières heures de la journée est spectaculaire surtout lorsque on peut voir les beautés en double à cause des reflets parfait dans les eaux miroirs.Quel ciel.

Hallo John,
Dit is een fantastisch landschap waarbij zowel het water als de lucht een heel belangrijke rol spelen.
Ergens lijkt het wat op een schilderij of op een fantasiewereld ergens ver weg. Maar de foto werd op slechts 6 km. van Brugge genomen.
Prachtig met de bomen die het water langs drie zijden omzomen en met de zon die door de bladerloze takken schijnt.
Uiteraard is dat wolkendek magnifiek en wordt het ook nog mooi weerspiegeld in het water.
Vreemd dat je deze foto zo lang verborgen hield.

this is an exceptional picture that fills our eyes with wonder. The landscape's formation is simple but you captured a superb reflection and used the perspectives very aptly in order to fill the frame and make the view look so impressive. Hello John,

You've used the trees well as a natural filter to block out unwanted oe and also get the star effect. Nice symmetrical reflections with good color, sharpness and saturation. Tfs!

lovely HDR work. The sky is fabulous and your processing has emphasized it even more, the sun adds a beautiful touch being partially hidden behind the trees and preserving a perfectly round star shape. The water is nicely framed on both sides with the trees.

One can see why the light attracted so many of the old-master painters to your part of the world. Stunning light, well managed to produce a very artistic shot. Good use of saturation to create an impressionistic effect. regards and thanks, Iain.
