Far in the past, there was even a castle in Raverschoot. From this fortress, there are no leftovers to be found. She was burned to the ground and destroyed in revenge for the residents, the Erembalders. In the years before the famine, they formed a new power group within the county, they were even appointed Viscounts of Bruges, while she's a slutty sex heard. They were not of noble birth, but their power and wealth they closed or marriages with noble families and eventually had great control over the chancellery of Bruges and the Counts domains. But since they were not nobility, led at that time for an imbalance between nobility, church and the cities. Charles the Good, realized that if they are nationals serving would be, there are many misunderstandings would disappear. They refused, were eager for revenge and in their fury they would on March 2, 1127 Charles the Good have slain in Bruges. On 7 March, the power of the Erembalders broken, the leaders of the family were lynched and their possessions were divided among the barons of the House of Alsace, who then got the control over the county.
