Photographer's Note

I have for a new bicycle route chosen along the canal at Oostkamp. There stood a fog on the canal with bright period. The bridge opened and this boat left with much smoke.

History of canal:
The history of the canal Gand-Bruges returns up to the 13e centuries and it is with that one of the oldest canals of Flanders. The canal arose by a connection between the river the Zuidleie and high Kale. This explains Bruges to course in contrast to canals of more recent date, tortuous especially in the area Bruges - Aalter. Characteristic also the high sand backs are which had door graven become, as a result of which the canal lies there now deeply sunk in the landscape. Just in 1625 the canal Gand - Bruges (42 km) could be opened.

This picture I have a few cropped to the right side.

I hope you like it.

Well week-end for everyone
