Photographer's Note
Picture taken during the event "wings and wheels" on the airfield of Ursel. This tank just started and drove away, I was just in time to take 1 picture of the tank without too much disturbing elements passing by. I doubted for a moment to place this one in b&w but I thought it came out better in colour. The smoke behind the machine does not come from any pp; it's the engine spitting out all that smoke. It clearly is not in line with the latest emission norms ;-)).
I personally find it a very good thing that these old machines are restored and kept running.
If I'm not mistaken, this must be an American Sherman.

Hendrik,
This is a nice shot of this old tank. The angle of the shot is great giving us a close up view of two side of the tank. The people add life for the scene. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness.

Hi Hendrik,
Despite all the symbolism behind it, the machine itself looks very nice. The photo is very well taken, with very good sharpness.
Cheers, Maurício

Hi Hendrik

Hi Hendrik,
this seems almost like a photo from the past. Just the colors indicate that it has to be today. The foggy atmosphere behind makes the tank to stick out of the background and to catch all of the attention. Very well captured,

Hi Hendrik,
this M4 Sherman don't observe the latest emissions norms, undoubtedly!!
But it played a good role in the liberation of your country during the WW II.
You caught this dynamic scene skillfully, without disturbing elements, in an image very sharp, with a great light and a few fantastic colors.
It's a good work.
Best regards,
Josep

Hello Hendrik,
A rare capture in a Belgian city, but in the case of a special day of the armed forces are well understood.
Excellent composition, nice relaxed poses for those who are uploaded into the tank.
Gorgeous colors and details.
Best wishes,

Bonjour, cher Hendrik,
Tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour nous offrir une bonne photographie.
La fumée émanant du char, l'environnement, les hommes à cheval sur le char, etc.
Très bonne réalisation.
Très bonne journée.
Amitiés.

Hello Hendrik,
nice the snapshot from the event "wings and wheels" with the tank to be the eye catching of the scene. The 'passengers' rather enjoy their presentation over there.

There are many freaks who reconstruct the old war equipment, thanks to them we can watch this, very nice capture although I prefer more pacifistic events

Hi Hendrik
Revolution in the streets of Belgium? A Russian invasion? Happy to see neither of these and its an historic shot of an old WWII tank. You were right to leave this in color as the blue smoke and yellow fixtures on the tank provide a nice warm cold color contrast. Tfs!

Hi Hendrik,
I can imagine how much fuel that old tank needs to move. Quite surprising view, I've never seen such museum piecec in action. Good angle and the cloud of smoke adds quite a bit of special ambience.
