Photographer's Note
The church of Middelburg is the only real remains of the old town of Middelburg. This small town was built between 1452 and 1465 by Pieter Bladeling, governor of finance of Philips the Good and flourished during the first decades of its existence. It has been attacked and destroyed several times (1581, 1702 and 1944). Only the church, although damaged several times, was rebuilt and reminds us of the past of the town.

Quelques petites touches chaudes sur cette église pour une bonne harmonie avec ce bleu ciel.Bien vus également ces toits oranges dans la composition.

Hi Hendrik,
Nice church remains and the view from the back. The only small place I know in Belgium is Grimbergen, which has a nice church too.. But My photos from there are terrible..

Met een andere camera genomen verleden jaar half oogst maar een heel mooie, kleur en samenstelling kan ik echt warderen.
Uit deze hoek heb ik de kerk nog nooit gefotografeerd, zal ik wel eens doen.
Samenstelling en presentatie zijn opperbest. Bedankt.

Restons dans les églises :) - Cette église est bien proportionnée, pas de lourdeur dans son style.
Et puis, elle se détache si bien sur le bleu du ciel. La verdure du 1er plan donne une ambiance de quiétude à la photo.

Une belle église, au transept imposant, mais modeste malgré tout,joliment présentée sur avant-plan de verdure et fond de ciel bleu.Une jolie carte postale de ta région.

I've heard of this old town, but never got a chance to visit. Seems to be a rand structure, with solid lines and voluminous shape. Framed well with the foilage & good contrast with the can sky! Well done!
