I wish every visitor a nice day.

This picture has been taken during December 2010 a very strong winter with a lot snow.
I like of the lovely quiet moment with snow on the trees, without wind and a pleasant winter temperature.

History of Maldegem:
Maldegem, and a vast rural town in the extreme northwest corner of the Province of East Flanders is not just a town situated on the main roads of Ghent and Bruges (N9), Antwerp Coast (N49), Aalter (E40) and the Netherlands.
Maldegem has its location outside a lot more to offer the interested visitor.
Since January 1, 1977 consists of the boroughs of the city Maldegem Adegem, Maldegem, Middelburg and the parishes Donk and Kleit. Our municipality is 9625 ha and has a population of 24,000 people.
It's a pleasant living and living village with a pretty rich history. In the Middle Ages Maldegem one of the major glories of Flanders. The fame of the gentlemen of the old noble family of Maldegem penetrated far beyond our region and from many chroniclers was confirmed
Most of fame Philip III in 1300 distinguished by his unconditional loyalty to the Flemish Count of Sacred Dampierre. He received the honorary title of this "loyal", which later was acquired by Maldegem.
Maldegem also has a beautiful municipal park with old trees adjacent to the municipal swimming pool. Two gymnasiums and three football fields are available. There was also a big sports stadium built.
Because Maldegem predominantly an agricultural municipality, you will find there is little industry.
