The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels.
The older church from 11th century was replaced by the current church in the style of Brabantine Gothic built in the 13th century, the church was entirely completed only in the 16th century. It is one of the most impressive cathedrals in Europe, it is 114 m long and its imposing towers are 64 metres tall.
The cathedral is the most important church in Brussels, it is Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels. Therefore all royal weddings and christenings and also state funerals take place here.
